Adeptus Partners Proudly Supports Counseling in Schools

By Adeptus Staff

Richard Goldstein and Michael Elam  of Adeptus Partners attended the second annual Measures of Hope event to support Counseling in Schools and Adeptus client, David Kener.

Richard Goldstein, Partner, and Michael Elam, Consultant, from Adeptus Partners, attended the second annual Measures of Hope event on May 17th held by Counseling in Schools (CIS), a nonprofit organization. This event serves as a platform to honor advocates in the school community who bring hope to life through education, art, and performance. Adeptus client David Kener, Director of Development at CIS, extended an invitation for Adeptus to sponsor and attend the event.

As a nonprofit mental health service provider, CIS plays a vital role in setting students up for success. Their holistic approach fosters healing, meets students they are, and ignites a sense of hope and possibilities for the future.

Richard Goldstein expressed his admiration for the important work David Kener and CIS undertake in the NYC school system, stating, “We are proud to support Counseling in Schools due to their profound impact on communities across NYC.”

CIS’s comprehensive programs create a supportive environment for students, enabling them to express themselves and explore healthy outlets for personal growth. These programs are designed to accommodate students with diverse learning abilities, offering customized classes that encourage self-expression and development.

With a team comprised of over 100 dedicated mental health professionals and youth development experts, CIS reaches 9,000 students across 78 schools and community shelters. Their initiatives extend beyond mental health support, including valuable assistance with resources such as food accessibility, mindfulness and meditation programs, and art therapy.
